Imflorestal Biochar-compost mixture

Ecochar

Ecochar, also known as Biochar, is a product used for the rehabilitation of forest and agricultural lands. It is used in vineyards, olive groves, orchards, forests and other agricultural locations, but also in small horticultural gardens. It ensures the increase of soil productivity and crop yields.

Biochar is created by transforming agricultural and forestry biomass processed in the pyrolytic reactors of the company Ibero Massa Florestal. Ecochar is not a fertilizer but a soil restructuring agent and only needs to be applied once. It is a fundamental asset not only in large agricultural areas, but also in small vegetable gardens and plants at home.

This innovation is being tested in Cyprus, Romania and Spain.

Certified organic farming

With your everyday life in mind, we already have a substrate enriched with ecochar . It is ready to use and certified for organic farming.

Introducing Ecochar / Biochar in the soil in a single application is enough to reduce the need for water resources and fertilisers down by 40%. It also promotes the increase of roots development in plants, which increases production.

As it reinstates carbon which had previously been retained within it, during the production process, back into the soil. Ecochar/Biochar use reduces carbon dioxide emissions contributing for the reduction of the overall carbon footprint.
