World Congress of Soil Science

Since its inception in 1927, the World Congress of Soil Science has been convened every four years, serving as a pivotal scientific forum in the realm of soil sciences. The Soil Science Society of China won the bid in 2018 to organize WCSS2026 in Nanjing. This marks a significant milestone, as it is the first time the congress will be held in this region.

We expect WCSS2026 to attract diverse participants, including research scientists, soil practitioners, industry representatives, policymakers, regulators, academic societies, students, and anyone with an interest in the sustainable management of soils globally. This congress will provide an exceptional platform for soil scientists to collaborate and tackle the various challenges faced by both developed and developing regions.
