European Geosciences Union Summit 2026
May 3 - May 8
The EGU General Assembly 2026 will bring together geoscientists from all over the world to one meeting covering all disciplines of the Earth, planetary, and space sciences. The EGU aims to provide a forum where scientists, especially early career researchers, can present their work and discuss their ideas with experts in all fields of geoscience.

TERRASAFE’s Adriana Bruggeman, Jan Jacob Keizer, Aman Kumar Meena, Vlad Crisan and Houda Oueriemmi will be convening a session: ‘Innovations to assess, combat and prevent land degradation and desertification.’ This session aims to contribute to the reversal of desertification through the exchange of knowledge and experiences on the assessment and mitigation of desertification.
